DESCRIPTION:We welcome you to join us for the BARIAlink 5-year anniversary event which takes place on Saturday 5th of June 2021. This unique series of five one-hour sessions takes place across 5 global locations in a single day and will facilitate active discussions on the most engaging patient cases submitted by the bariatric community. \nWhether taking part in one session or all five\, you’ll benefit from shared experiences of some of the more challenging and complicated situations in bariatric and metabolic surgery and revisional procedures. The program has applied for CME-accreditation and gives surgeons an opportunity to learn about new and developing areas in this field through the experiences of real patient case studies. \nIf you’re already an active member of BARIAlink\, this is a great opportunity to celebrate the activities of the past five years. SUMMARY:27TH WITS BIENNIAL VIRTUAL SURGICAL SYMPOSIUM
DESCRIPTION:After consideration and examination of the evidence as we currently understand it\, the Wits Department of Surgery\nhas decided that the Biennial will be delivered online\, as a Virtual Congress from 3-5 July 2020.\nWe believe that this will become part of the “new normal” in our immediate future and want to be part of the development\nof this process\, as the oldest Departmental based Surgical meeting in South Africa. This meeting is about delivering the\nprogram online\, while preserving the interaction in real time with the speakers.
